Baoshi is an innovative Asian food hall, bar, and market in the heart of Pembroke Pines, just off bustling Pines Boulevard. It offers a curated Asian dining experience with a market offering exotic snacks, candies, and sodas. The food hall features five distinct food vendors: Temple Street Eatery, Gangnam Chikn, Poke OG, Gold Marquess, and Boba Street Cafe. To celebrate Mother’s Day, Baoshi is hosting a “Make Your Own Kokedama” Botanical Class on Saturday, May 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can learn about the techniques and history of Kokedamas, which are balls of soil covered with moss on which an ornamental plant grows and are very popular in Japanese gardens. Under the guidance of botanical expert Zuleima, this in-person learning experience is designed for nature lovers who want to grow their creativity and learn simultaneously. Zuleima will accompany attendees in creating their Kokedama each step of the way. For $50 per person, guests will learn about the principles and elements of Kokedamas, care, and management of plants for the design of the Kokedama, materials and their differences, preparation of a Kokedama, details, and completion of the Kokedama, and tips for maintenance at home. The class also includes a meditation session, refreshments (one cocktail voucher or non-alcoholic beverage from the bar), materials for elaboration, and a Kokedama plant. La Fuga is a signature coastal Italian restaurant at the Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.
