Charity golf tournaments are par for the course in South Florida. Here are two upcoming ones to put on your calendar.
The 38th annual Swing for the Kids Charity Golf Classic from the Kiwanis Club of Delray benefits Achievement Centers for Children & Families. Golfers take a swing at a $50,000 shoutout, team awards for first, second and third place, @25 gift cards for those closest to the line, $50 men’s and women’s longest drive and more. Plus, there’s a barbecue lunch and raffle prizes. It’s the third year in a row the golf tournament benefits the Delray Beach organization, which has served the Delray Beach community with educational, financial and food services
Tournament is Nov. 7, 8-11 a.m., at Westchester Country Club (12250 Westchester Club Drive, Boynton Beach). Click here for more information.
Boca West Children’s Foundation expects more than 500 golfers at its eighth annual $100,000 Golf Challenge. The event will raise funds for 31 children’s charity partners with each receiving between $2,000 and $10,000, depending on its team’s placement. The event helps top off the foundation’s recent 10th anniversary, which celebrating more than $10 million raised for at-risk youth. Tickets ($650) include a golf shirt, food, package of wine and hors d’oeuvres and more. The event will follow social distancing guidelines.
