Enjoy Holiday Magic at Downtown Doral’s World of Nutcracker

Tickets for the immersive show are now on sale.

In December, Downtown Doral is hosting an immersive holiday experience that will transport visitors from tropical South Florida into the enchanting world of the Nutcracker. During the 45-minute experience, guests will be immersed in the iconic scenes and narrative of The Nutcracker. Live stage performances, animated projections, and delectable sweets and desserts will bring this to life. Throughout the journey, attendees will encounter reimagined versions of Marie’s dream, the epic battle between the Nutcracker Prince and the Mouse King, and meet the esteemed toymaker, Drosselmeier. They will also have the opportunity to explore The Nutcracker Emporium, a global market offering an array of desserts and delights, before culminating their visit with a journey to Drosselmeier’s Workshop.

Attendees will enter the experience at scheduled times, providing a more personal atmosphere that enables each guest to immerse themselves in the narrative while avoiding large gatherings.

“The World of Nutcracker is a truly unique experience that beautifully blends the magic of the holiday season with Miami’s rich and artistic culture,” says Ana-Marie Codina Barlick, CEO of Codina Partners, the developers of Downtown Doral. “This event underscores our commitment at Downtown Doral to creating art-inspired, interactive, and family-friendly experiences so visitors and residents can create cherished memories that will last a lifetime.”

After the enthralling experience, visitors will enter Drosselmeier’s Workshop. Here, the young and the young-at-heart can buy and personalize their versions of the iconic Nutcracker miniature. Alongside Nutcracker-themed crafts, guests can also enjoy purchasing delightful hot cocoa and refreshments and taking photos with Santa. Moreover, a lineup of holiday food and beverage specials is in the works with Downtown Doral’s main restaurants, which will be offered throughout the experience.

The Downtown Doral Arts and Culture Foundation partnered with highly regarded creative experts specializing in set, lighting, video, sound, and prop design from Broadway and the broader theater community to craft the experience. Brett Smock, who serves as the Producing Artistic Director at The REV Theatre Company in New York, helms World of Nutcracker.

The inaugural blended immersive experience, The World of Nutcracker, is set to establish itself as a yearly attraction and a fresh holiday custom for people of all ages, whether in South Florida or elsewhere in the United States.

Tickets for this extended holiday event are now available for purchase. While visitors are encouraged to buy tickets in advance, day-of tickets will also be obtainable through a kiosk at Downtown Doral Pocket Park at 5275 Paseo Blvd. The event will occur from Nov. 30 to Jan. 3, 2025, operating on Tuesdays through Sundays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

General admission to The Experience starts at $35 for adults and $18 for children. VIP tickets are $60 for adults and $35 for children, includes paintable nutcrackers, fast pass to photos with Santa (photo included), promotional discounts at The Doral Yard and Main Street restaurants and more.
