Public Safety Expo

The Pinecrest Police Department will host the 2015 Public Safety Expo at Evelyn Greer Park, 8200 SW 124th Street, on Saturday, May 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The expo will feature crime prevention vehicles, child fingerprinting, safety demonstrations, educational displays, and children’s activities. 

The Public Safety Expo is a fun opportunity for the community to interact with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies that include the Pinecrest Police Department, the Miami-Dade Rescue and Fire Department, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Department, and the Homeland Security Department. 

The public will have opportunity to tour police command equipment that includes a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department fire truck, the Federal Bureau of Investigation tactical vehicle and the Florida Wildlife and Fish airboat. There will be safety demonstrations that include K-9 and SWAT units by local municipalities. 

Children’s entertainment will include bounce houses, a dunk-a-cop tank (proceeds for POAT) and photo-ops with police officers and firefighters. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Ms. Cheezious and Sugar Yummy Mama Food Trucks will also be in attendance.
