COVID-era Car Wash

Both locations of Rising Tide Car Wash (Parkland and Margate) will be offering a free COVID-era disinfectant service with the purchase of all interior cleaning services through Aug. 15. The car wash company that employs individuals with autism is providing the service as a way to help combat the coronavirus spike in South Florida—and ensure the safety of its employees and customers.

The service involves fogging the interior of your car with PURTABS, a hospital-grade interior disinfectant that kills COVID-19 and other viruses and bacteria. The spray is fogged into vehicles, hitting all high-touch areas; the solution circulates in the car for 60 seconds. High-touch surfaces are then disinfected again as part of the interior cleaning. According to Rising Tide, it’s one of the first car washes to offer the PURTABS service.

“At Rising Tide Car Wash, we are adjusting our services for the ‘new normal’ by providing this new disinfectant feature,” says John D’Eri, CEO of Rising Tide. “As a social enterprise, we have always been socially responsible. With the current COVID-19 crisis, we are taking our social responsibility to the next level by implementing this service at no cost to keep our customers and employees healthy and safe.”
