Plan your November around events and education related to the arts, aging and the holidays

Nov. 17: John Knox Village of Florida and its nonprofit foundation present the inaugural Aging Greatly Symposium—part of a movement to alter the narrative around aging. The all-day event at the JKV Cultural Arts Center, open to the public, boasts an impressive lineup of speakers, including keynote Maria Shriver and best-selling author and co-founder of Real Age Inc., and Michael Roizen (both will address the gathering virtually). Seats are limited and guests must register on Eventbrite. (ag22.org)

Nov. 17: Kick off the holiday season with CP Group at its annual community tree lighting event at Boca Raton Innovation Campus (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.). Expect photo ops with Santa and his reindeer, an activities tent, extreme face painting, food trucks, and performances by students from West Boca Raton Community High School, Grandview Preparatory School and Organic Movements Dance School. General admission is free; there are VIP tickets for adults/kids. (2022cpgtreelighting.eventbrite.com)

Nov. 26-27: The second Art With Me festival, an immersive pre-Art Basel weekend of art, electronic/house music and wellness activities, is for Virginia Key Historic Park Miami. Expect large-scale art installations, galleries, live musicians across multiple stages, yoga and dance classes, wellness activations, children’s activities, mindfulness workshops and much more.
