Sixteen Years of Style, Strength & Support

Not My Daughter…find a cure now! Luncheon Returns October 27 with Joy Bauer

Glamour and generosity will take center stage on Monday, October 27, when the 16th Annual Not My Daughter…find a cure now! Shopping Boutique & Luncheon returns to the Fort Lauderdale–Coral Springs Marriott at Heron Bay. Known as one of South Florida’s most beloved annual events, this year’s “Sweet 16” celebration promises a day of style, shopping, and inspiration — all in support of the fight against breast cancer.

A Day to Shop, Celebrate & Give Back

The festivities begin at 10 a.m. with a bustling shopping boutique featuring more than 40 vendors offering fashion, jewelry, home décor, and handcrafted gifts. At noon, guests will gather for a luncheon highlighted by a keynote appearance from NBC’s TODAY Show celebrity chef and wellness expert Joy Bauer, who will share her trademark blend of health advice, humor, and heartfelt inspiration.

More Than an Event — A Mission

Founded by local moms, Not My Daughter…find a cure now! has grown into a powerful nonprofit force. Over the past 16 years, the organization has raised vital funds to support patients, drive innovative research, and build a future free from breast cancer.

“It’s the sweet 16 for Not My Daughter,” says founder and president Denyse Hostig. “Sweet because of the incredible accomplishments and community support we’ve built together — but bittersweet, because there is still such a need for this work. Our vision is to eradicate cancer before it ever touches the next generation.”

Proceeds benefit initiatives like the Not My Daughter Support Center at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Plantation, which provides psychological and supportive care for patients, and pioneering research focused on identifying and supporting “pre-vivors” — those with a genetic predisposition to breast cancer.

Co-chair and co-founder Jody Sternfield adds, “This event is about more than raising money — it’s about raising hope. We come together to celebrate, to care, and to envision a healthier, cancer-free future.”
