MSD Benefit Concert

What: Jay and His Super Fan Band will perform the hits of Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra and more to honor Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school. The concert will benefit the Alex Schacter and Gina Montalto Scholarship Fund.

Where: AmericanAirlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami
What: On the last stop of his national “Free Spirit World Tour,” the Grammy-nominated R&B star supports his sophomore album of the same name. The 21-year-old has already headlined at Coachella and “Saturday Night Live,” and is perhaps best known for his single, “Young Dumb & Broke,” an earworm that has more than 500 million views on YouTube.
An Evening with the Floyd Experience
When: Aug. 17, 8 p.m.
Where: Seminole Casino Coconut Creek
What: The tribute band was formed in celebration of the renowned rock band, Pink Floyd. The production features precise musical renditions of Pink Floyd’s best hits along with a laser light show that includes synchronized lighting movements. The performance is for all Pink Floyd Fans, young and old.
Cycle for the Cure
When: August 17, 12:30 p.m.
Where: CYCLEBAR Palm Beach Gardens
What: This Saturday, get your exercise in while supporting a great cause at CYCLEBAR Palm Beach Gardens. From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., this CYCLEBAR location will transform into a pink palooza to raise money and awareness for Susan G. Komen Florida. Riders can enjoy friendly competitions with exciting prizes, heart-pumping music and healthy treats as well as a 60-minute high energy spin class.

Indian Independence Day

Where: Broward Center
What: The Association of Indians in America collaborates with local Indian associations to celebrate Indian independence day with a family-friendly event featuring a cultural performance as well as Indian food, vendors and a kids zone.
