Tri-Rail’s Annual “Ride & Play” Event Returns

The family-fun ride features special offers from popular downtown Miami venues.

Tri Rail’s highly anticipated “Ride & Play” event will return on Saturday, April 27. Riders will now experience Tri-Rail’s new service to MiamiCentral Station and explore downtown Miami’s attractions, shopping, and dining destinations. As part of its “Ride & Play” initiative, Tri-Rail allows attendees to enjoy the company of costumed characters, balloon artists, and magicians on southbound trains P669 and P671.

“Tri-Rail’s ‘Ride & Play’ is another invitation for people to come out and experience our improved service and expansion into MiamiCentral Station,” David Dech says, executive director of SFRTA/Tri-Rail. “We welcome everyone for a fun day on board the train to enjoy downtown Miami with weekend fares at just $5 all day.”

On Saturday, riders will also enjoy special offers from downtown Miami partners by showing a valid Tri-Rail ticket or EASY Card:

  • HistoryMiami Museum – $2 off general admission
  • Julia and Henry’s – Adults 21+ receive a complimentary beer at Boxelder, and those under 21 enjoy a 10% discount at Puffles Hong Kong.
  • Starbucks – Receive a complimentary tall iced or hot regular coffee.

Tri-Rail offers train services to commuters from any of the 19 conveniently located stations across South Florida. Weekend fares are priced at $5 for a round trip. Additionally, children under five can ride for free on Tri-Rail trains.
