Willie T’s Seafood Shack Opens in Fort Lauderdale

Willie T’s Seafood Shack, a fast casual-style eatery offering comfort-oriented seafood, is now open at 1824 Cordova Rd. in Fort Lauderdale. The brand is managed by Thompson Hospitality, a retail food service management company, which operates Matchbox restaurant and Big Buns Damn Good Burgers, both in Fort Lauderdale.

The 1,700-square-foot location features 26 indoor, eight outdoor, and eight bar/lounge seats. The menu features a casual style centered around seasoned fried and grilled menu items varying from Breaded Delta Catfish, to Shrimp Baskets, to Battered Cod. The standout items include the fresh Lobster Rolls and Jumbo Lump Crab Rolls; both served in 4oz and 6oz options. The Willie T’s Mixed Platter offers five Jumbo Shrimp, your choice of Breaded Catfish or Battered Cod and a side of french fries seasoned with Old Bay. Side items are also available, including hushpuppies, fried onion petals, mac and cheese, coleslaw and french fries. Red velvet and chocolate cake desserts are also served.

“Our goal is to always bring our customers the brightest retail and restaurant concepts with our own unique style of hospitality that is focused on the guest experience,” Michael Katigbak says, Vice President of Thompson Hospitality, which was founded in 1992.
