Wine and Dine

As far as culinary experiences go, there’s nothing as comforting and delicious as Italian food paired with Italian wine. No one knows this as well as Salvatore Ferragamo of the famed design family, which is also passionate about wine. His father, Ferruccio, purchased and restored Tuscany’s Il Borro winery, which was established in the 16th century.

Lucky for us who don’t live in Italy, Ferragamo, now the CEO of Il Borro, is bringing his wine to Elisabetta’s Ristorante, Bar and Pizzeria in Delray Beach for a special pairing dinner next week next week.

Elisabetta’s co-owner Chef Lisabet Summa’s special menu for the night includes four courses featuring such delicacies as Coppa Ferragamo (house cured coppa, aioli, parmigiano regggiano, orange and fennel) paired with Il Borro’s Rose del Borro and Rotollo Verde (spinach pasta with ricotta, bechemela and swiss chard) paired with Lamelle. Plus, there’s amaretti biscotti and espresso for dessert.

Check out the details below.

When: Feb. 5, 7:30 p.m.

Where: Elisabetta’s Ristorante Bar and Pizzeria, 32 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach

Tickets: $135 +
