Beethoven 250th Anniversary Celebration

What: South Florida Symphony Orchestra celebrates the music of the great composer with a performance of his Symphony No. 9 as well as Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A Minor.

Boca Raton Seafood & Music Festival

Where: Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real, Boca Raton

What: Fresh seafood cooked on-site by local restaurants is the highlight of this event, which features live music as well as an arts and craft marketplace.

Stayin’ Alive

When: Feb. 8, 8 p.m.

Where: Crest Theatre, 51 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach

What: The Bee Gees tribute group keeps the spirit of the band alive through video clips and photos, getting audiences dancing with hits such as How Deep Is Your Love, Nights on Broadway and, of course, Staying Alive.

Heavenly Mischief

What: The Palm Beach Symphony plays the music of Mozart as well as the composers who inspired him.

Florida Renaissance Festival

When: Weekends, Feb. 8-March 22, 10 a.m.-sunset

Where: Quiet Waters Park, 401 Powerline Road, Deerfield Beach

What: Visitors are encouraged to dress up in costume for themed weekends including vikings, time travelers, pirates, and—new this year—heroes and villains and the Tudors/Henry VIII. Plus, the 28th annual festival features an array of artisans, performers and entertainment acts.
