Making Dreams Come True

The foundation that rock legend Phil Collins launched 20 years ago with his partner, Orianne, recently announced its latest initiatives, including efforts connected to the COVID-19 crisis.

Little Dreams Foundation, the nonprofit started in 2000 to mentor aspiring young artists and athletes, is partnering with The Never Give Up Foundation and Miami restaurant Shahs of Kabob to provide weekly food deliveries for health care workers at Jackson Medical Center and other Miami hospitals.

That effort adds to an ongoing program to assist Little Dreamer musicians. Since March, the organization has been running a social media fundraiser—#LDFJukebox—that invites the public to make a donation in exchange for a cover song of the person’s choice performed live on LDF’s Instagram page by one of the Little Dreamers. To donate and choose a song, follow @littledreamsfoundationusa on social media or visit littledreamsfoundation.org/donation.

According to LDF, the nonprofit also has “moved art/music classes to a virtual platform so that Little Dreamers continue to learn safely at home. Currently, Little Dreamers are receiving vocal lessons via tele-learning to help them continue to hone their musical skills, stay motivated and active from home during this crisis.”
