A&E Roundup: Early December

For the ocean. The Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation takes its fundraiser online. During the 12th annual event, Harvey and GHOF Project Manager Jessica Harvey will broadcast from their home port of Grand Cayman, where they will take viewers on a tour through the year of GHOF research. Viewers will get face to face with sharks, marlin and invited celebrity guests, including a special musical performance. There’s also a silent auction with original and reproduced Guy Harvey artwork, fishing trips and more. The event takes place Dec. 3, 8 p.m., at this website.

Holiday fun. Westfield Broward is launching several initiatives to make the holidays special despite the pandemic. Among them, Drive ‘N Drag Saves Christmas, an outdoor concert featuring iconic stars from “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Attendees will get a live theatrical experience from the safety of their cars, concert style lighting, jumbotron screens and more. Ticket prices range from $69-$150. Events are Dec. 1-2. Click here for tickets.

Winter wonderland. Boca Center presents a variety of events during #MerryAtBocaCenter from Dec. 4 through Jan. 4, benefiting Spirit of Giving Network. For the art lovers. Those missing Art Basel this year can indulge in a virtual art discussion featuring local artists. Kluger, Kaplan, Silverman, Katzen & Levine P.L., in partnership with Hillel at Florida International University (FIU), hosts Unity Through Art. The virtual art discussion will be live from the home of Alan Kluger, Founder of Kluger Kaplan and an art aficionado outside of his law practice. The panel will be moderated by local art professional Laura Raifee and feature renowned contemporary artists and gallerists including David CastilloXaviera Simmons and Tschabalala Self. While showcasing the pieces of art via screen share, the focus of the panel will be art as a unifier of people and their work as unifiers. Event is Dec. 3. Click here for more.
