What is the biggest misconception patients/clients have when they first meet you?
Many people expect a quick fix or immediate answers during their first visit. They often assume that a diagnosis and treatment plan can be determined right away. In reality, the first appointment is about gathering a thorough medical history, building trust, understanding their concerns, setting goals, and developing a personalized plan of care. Taking the time to understand each patient’s story allows us to create the most effective treatment plan together.
What gives you satisfaction in your field?
One of the most rewarding aspects of this profession is seeing patients better understand their diagnosis, take an active role in managing their health, and improve their quality of life through teamwork. We enjoy using our clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to identify diseases, recognize complications after surgery, and detect early signs of preventable conditions. Knowing that we have provided the same level of care we would want for our own family is incredibly fulfilling. We also value that healthcare is a lifelong learning profession, allowing us to continually grow and provide the highest quality care for our patients.
