Children’s Foundation of Palm Beach County to Host Benefit Walk

The Children’s Foundation of Palm Beach County invites the community to its first “Walk the Walk” event to support children’s charities in South Florida. The organization’s Walk the Walk at the Palm Beaches Marathon starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Meyers Amphitheater, 104 Datura St. in West Palm Beach.

The benefit walk will take place along the waterfront on Flagler Drive and funds raised during the event will support specific programs at more than 30 local children’s nonprofit organizations. Along with the walk, food stations with popcorn, pretzels, funnel cakes and children’s activities, including balloon animals, face painting and action videos will be featured.

“Not only will this event fund programs for at-risk children in our area, it’s a wonderful morning of family fun and activities,” says Pamela Weinroth, Executive Director of the Children’s Foundation of Palm Beach County.

Parking opens at 8 a.m., with registration starting at 9 a.m. Ticket prices are $50 for adults and $25 for kids under age 12. VIP tickets, which include a special hospitality tent, as well as valet parking, are $100. All participants will receive a medal and gifts. Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Foundation of Palm Beach County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding projects in the Boca Raton and Palm Beach County areas to aid at-risk children and their families in need.
