One of the wealthiest races in North America featuring a showdown between two Breeders’ Cup winners will be among the highlights of the 2022 Pegasus World Cup on Saturday at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach. The Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational Series was launched in 2017 by 1/ST EXPERIENCE as a way to help modernize the sport of Thoroughbred horse racing through world-class racing and entertainment events. The races include the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational (GI) and the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Championship Turf Invitational (GI). Baccarat, the French luxury brand known for high-end and exclusive crystal products, returns as the Official Trophy Purveyor to craft the championship trophies presented to the winners

This year’s event at Gulfstream Park will unveil Hallandale’s newest hospitality venue, the Carousel Club, an open-air entertainment trackside destination. It was designed by the award-winning design firm Studio Collective and presented in collaboration with the Breakwater Hospitality Group and features 15,000 square feet of spacious bungalow chic decor and a large antique carousel bar. DJ Cassidy will host the first show at the venue featuring his critically acclaimed series, “Pass the Mic.” Other guests scheduled to appear to include Earth Wind & Fire, Nile Rodgers, Chaka Khan, Patty LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Bobby Brown, Bell Biv Devoe, Boyz II Men, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Salt N’ Pepa, Missy Elliot, Wyclef Jean, Nelly and many others.

Individual tickets are now on sale to the public and range in price from $79 to $1,250 and include a variety of levels for every race day experience.
