Junior League of Boca Raton to Host Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon

The Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR) will host its annual Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 4. The event begins with an 11 a.m. social and 11:30 a.m. luncheon at Boca West Country Club, 20583 Boca West Drive. Kathy Assaf has been named honorary chair and Reilly Glasser, Amy Procacci and Ashley Huxhold Cole will serve as event co-chairs.

The luncheon honors 35 women selected by local nonprofits as Woman Volunteer of the Year nominees. One woman will be named the award recipient, and the nominees will be announced soon.

“This year, we are fortunate to have three incredible chairs who have dedicated many years to the Junior League of Boca Raton and are excited to honor our amazing nominees,” Jamie Sauer says, president of the Junior League. “Additionally, we are blessed to have Kathy Assaf as our honorary chair for a second time. She genuinely cares about our community and makes a difference every day.” 

The JLBR is honored to partner with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation and Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute as the Award Sponsor. Bloomingdale’s will produce a state-of-the-art runway show to entertain and inspire guests during the luncheon.

The Woman Volunteer of the year Committee members includes Darina Bowerman, Mindi Brown, Donna Capparelli, Maria Fadeeva, Gwenn Feliciano, Reilly Glasser, Clarissa Gleichenhaus, Pattie Goldenberg, Ashley Huxhold Cole, Brooke Kaplan, Gina Lowy, Cheryl Marcus, Nicole Miranda, Anne Moody, Fabiola Padernacht, Tara Patton, Amy Procacci, Tracey Sommers, Alana St. John, Tracie Swanson, Lisa Talley, Sarah-Antonia Tkalec, Blair Wallace, Colleen Walls and Michelle Worthington Hillard.

The luncheon includes a silent auction and a raffle. Notable items include a stay at a private condo in Mexico and jewelry from Diamonds Direct. Chandelier Table raffle tickets are available for $25. The raffle winner and their entire table will be moved to an elevated chandelier table and served a premium-plated lunch. Each person at the table will receive a $500 luxury swag bag from Bloomingdale’s and other partners. Get the Bag raffle tickets are available for $100 each. Purchase a chance to win a Saint Laurent large Logo Mix Matelassé leather satchel designer handbag in stone grey with a retail value of $2,290 donated by Saks Fifth Avenue.
