Title Sponsor City Furniture Honors the Company’s Past at the Upcoming Broward Heart Walk

City Furniture’s connection to the American Heart Association extends beyond the company’s benevolent footprint. CEO Andrew Koenig and his team continue to generate research funds and awareness around the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States—in large part because founder Kevin Charles Koenig died from heart complications.

Last year, Andrew served as chair of the Broward Heart Walk, working with the likes of Miami Heat great Alonzo Mourning, to raise funds for AHA. This year, City Furniture is back as the Live Fierce South Florida title sponsor for the Broward Heart Walk, which is set for Sunday, March 12 at Nova Southeastern University. This year’s goal is to raise $1.7 million.

City Furniture will invite customers at participating stores throughout the region to test-rest one of its mattresses. The company will then donate $25 to AHA on the customer’s behalf.

“A good night’s sleep is one of the many contributing factors that lead to good heart health,” says Andrew, who’s also a committee member of the 2023 Broward Heart Walk. “By visiting the showroom to get a custom test rest, we’re able to help both our customers and the AHA on their mission toward healthy living.”
