Young At Art Museum 17th Annual Women of Vision Luncheon

THE EVENT  The magnificent courtyard at Young At Art Museum will be the setting for the annual Women of Vision Luncheon to benefit Young At Art Museum’s programs for underserved and at-risk youth.

Community activist Maya Ezratti serves as this year’s chair as Women of Vision celebrates all of the women and men who are making a difference in the community.

“I am honored to announce that the funds raised will be matched by my family, ‘The Ezratti Family,’” says Maya. “Together we, the Women of Vision, will reach out to our community to raise the bar on fundraising.”

An annual tradition, each of the Women of Vision will be presented with a hand-crafted, intricately-designed, original piece of sterling silver jewelry created by Young At Art Museum’s artist in residence Chisseko Kondowe.

THE CAUSE  As in years past, the Women of Vision Luncheon benefits the Museum’s creative and pioneering programs for underserved and at-risk youth, including ArtREACH, a free, afterschool art, literacy and academic enrichment program for homeless youth and teens (ages 5-15) living in Broward emergency and transitional shelters; Girls N’ Power, an arts-based academic enrichment program conducted at the PACE Center for Girls, a non-residential treatment program and high school for at-risk teens in Wilton Manors, designed to build self-esteem and critical thinking skills through art; and YAA ArtHouse @ Northwest Gardens, a creative placemaking hub with state-of-the-art studios for ceramics, painting, drawing and printmaking for residents of Northwest Gardens, where low-income families earn 60 percent or less of the area’s median income of $40,000.
