Annual Delray Beach Home Tour Highlights Homes in Scenic Palm Trail Neighborhood

A group of select homeowners in Delray Beach’s Intracoastal neighborhood will participate in the 21st Annual Delray Beach Home Tour, which aims to raise funds for Achievement Centers for Children & Families (ACCF). The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12. The Delray Beach Home Tour offers visitors an exclusive chance to look at the luxurious interiors of various waterfront homes in the Delray community.

“Each year we choose a distinct Delray Beach neighborhood allowing homeowners to showcase different interior designs and architectural styles,” Noreen Payne says, Cochair of the event. “The Home Tour will highlight a variety of homes that range from exquisite intracoastal homes and flourishing tropical gardens providing home decorating enthusiasts with a glimpse into the realm of distinctive Delray living.”

The tour attracts visitors from throughout South Florida, who can enjoy a leisurely day exploring unique residences, a gourmet catered luncheon, and a trolley service between homes.

ACCF supports children and families through Early Learning (Toddler and Preschool), Out-of-School (After School and Summer Camp), and Teen Mentoring programs that aim to prepare them for academic and social success and help them discover their talents. ACCF offers programs like Family Strengthening and Economic Stabilization that help families in crisis, ultimately enabling them to become the foundation of their child’s growth and benefitting the community.

“Ongoing support from our community has allowed us to continuously serve our children & families, at a time when our assistance is crucial,” says ACCF Event Manager Julia Corliss. “We look forward to supporting under-resourced families through this year’s Home Tour as the community’s needs continue to rise. It is our mission and privilege to make a significant impact in the lives of the children and families we serve, and we need your help in bringing success to this remarkable fundraising event for 2024.”

The Home Tour was initially conceptualized by Anne Bright and Barbara Murphy, both long-time supporters and board members of ACCF. Planning for the tour, which attracts over 600 visitors every year, requires the dedication of more than 100 volunteers. The 2024 Home Tour chairs are Deborah Dowd, Noreen Payne and Kari Shipley.

“We are grateful for the support of all our hardworking volunteers, the homeowners who are graciously allowing visitors into their homes, and, of course, our dedicated sponsors,” Shipley says.
