Beach Bayou Bar Pop-Up Coming to The Diplomat Beach Resort

A new theme will be celebrated every Saturday night in October.

The enchanting shadows of Mardi Gras Mystique await visitors at the Beach Bayou Bar Pop-Up, where The Diplomat Beach Resort introduces a captivating twist to the season. Throughout October, the Hotel Lounge undergoes a spooky transformation into a speakeasy adorned in purple, gold and green Mardi Gras décor. However, guests should be cautious as the elusive Hat Man wanders the premises, even during Mardi Gras’ off-season. He may leave playful hints of his presence, so patrons should enjoy the ambiance but avoid lingering after dark, as they may unwittingly become part of the mystery.

Visitors can stroll through a bayou-inspired entrance where trees appear to take root in the bar and enjoy mouthwatering Cajun bites and New Orleans-inspired cocktails. The eerie ambiance is enhanced by whimsical portraits of spirits past, setting the tone for unforgettable nights filled with thrills.

Guests can enjoy a new mystery, from live Cajun jazz to tarot card and palm readings, as well as a strolling magician.

The events are from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Saturday in October at the Hotel Lounge:

  • Oct. 5 – Cajun Jazz Duo
  • Oct. 12 – Tarot card reading + Palm reading
  • Oct. 19 – Strolling Magician
  • Oct. 26 – Costume Party + The Hotel Bar
