Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade to Host 55th Annual Golf Classic 

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade hosts its 55th Annual Golf Classic on March 14 at the Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club in Coral Gables to benefit its Youth Development Programs. The tournament offers players the chance to play for fun or competitively. Raffle prizes, complimentary lunch and an open bar are included with sponsorship packages and the purchase of a foursome.

Proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s programs, including mentoring, educational after-school programs, homework assistance and tutoring, computer training, social skills, dance, arts and crafts and summer and athletic programs. The 55th Annual Golf Classic is expected to raise significant funds, as it’s the signature event for Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. and participants can practice at the driving range at 10 a.m. The outdoor lunch service starts at 11 a.m. with a complimentary open bar. Players will have the opportunity to enjoy Hooters wings while playing the course, cigar samples and demonstrations from La Flor Dominicana Cigars and Biscayne Bay Brewing Company’s finest craft beer being served by Kombi Keg Miami’s Volkswagen Bus. Stretch Zone physical therapists will be on-site to offer warm-up stretch services, contests and much more.

The day will conclude at 6:30 p.m. with dinner, an award ceremony and a live raffle draw in Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club’s banquet hall. Guests can enjoy a buffet-style dinner, wine and cocktails. Raffle prizes include restaurant, hotel and vacation packages, golf enthusiasts, memorabilia and more. All golfers will receive complimentary gift bags with a commemorative golf shirt, umbrella, golf balls and other golf necessities. Parking, green fees, cart and all meals and beverages are all included. Guests are asked to adhere to the country club casual dress code or golf attire.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Golf Classic committee members include Tom Bezold, Clint Gulley, Anthony Lopez, Alex Quevedo, Fred Rebozo, Ed Soto, Marc Suarez, Ben Walker, Taylor Walker and Special Events Chair, Olga Guilarte. 

Sponsorship/underwriting opportunities range from $250 to $25,000. A Tee Sign Sponsorship is available for $250. Registration fees are $2,000 for a foursome.
