Celebrity and Michelin-Starred Chefs to Partake in The Palm Beaches Restaurant Month

Along with expanding its second annual Restaurant Week to a monthlong celebration in August, Discover The Palm Beaches will kick off the culinary feasts with a Friends of James Beard Foundation Benefit on August 2 at PGA National Resort. The event will showcase the talent of two of the county’s celebrity chefs and James Beard Award semifinalists, Chef Jeremy Ford and Chef Lindsay Autry. Discover The Palm Beaches is also bringing the festivities on the road, with a custom retro airstream trailer set to pop up at several hotspots throughout the destination and in regional drive markets like Miami.

“It’s exciting to see how participation in this event has expanded from Restaurant Week last year as we showcase the thriving dining scene once again,” Jorge Pesquera says, CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches. “We invite locals and visitors to take advantage of The Palm Beaches Restaurant Month’s deals, discounts and prix fixe menus and dine at your favorite restaurants or establishments you’ve been waiting to try throughout our 39 towns and cities that comprise Palm Beach County.”

More than 130 participating restaurants located throughout the 39 towns and cities in Palm Beach County will partake in the monthlong event. Additional information and updates will be announced leading up to the event at PalmBeachesDining.com, which will feature participating restaurants and menus and the types of cuisine. Accompanying The Palm Beaches Restaurant Month are several foodie-specific events around Palm Beach County, including Bon Appetit BocaFlavor Palm Beach and Downtown Delray Beach Restaurant Month. Tickets are not necessary to enjoy the discounted dining, but reservations are strongly encouraged. The enhanced site will also incorporate OpenTable to make dining reservations easily accessible.

The Friends of James Beard Foundation Benefit event will feature an evening with a cocktail hour, a multi-course meal and dessert prepared by Chef Jeremy Ford and Chef Lindsay Autry. Chef Jeremy Ford, known for his win on Bravo’s Top Chef season 13, is executive chef and partner at The Butcher’s Club at PGA National Resort. He recently received a Michelin Star and James Beard Award nomination for his work at his Miami restaurant, Stubborn Seed. Chef Lindsay Autry was a finalist on Bravo’s Top Chef and a three-time James Beard Award nominee for “Best Chef: South” at her eatery, The Regional, and has now opened her newest outpost, Honeybelle at PGA National Resort.

“We’re looking forward to highlighting two of our celebrity chefs, who have earned prestigious accolades, during this special event, all for a great cause,” Pesquera says. “All the proceeds will support The Friends of James Beard Foundation and Feeding South Florida. Bon Appetit!”

New for 2022 during The Palm Beaches Restaurant Month and available starting July 25 is a mobile-friendly passport and vacation giveaway.
