Children’s Opportunity Group Hosts 75th Annual Luncheon

The Broward charity organization consists of 50 women dedicated to supporting and enriching local children's health, education and welfare.

To recognize its Diamond Anniversary, the Children’s Opportunity Group (COG) will theme its 75th Annual Luncheon & Fashion Presentation as a diamond jubilee from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8 at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa. To celebrate the occasion, COG is featuring a unique raffle called “Diamonds from Daoud’s Unlock the Box” that offers a chance to win a dazzling diamond prize from Daoud’s Jewelers. A limited number of keys will be available for purchase during the reception. Apart from the diamond giveaway, there will be extraordinary raffle baskets and silent auction items. The Colonnade Outlets of Sawgrass Mills also offer a grand raffle called “Spectacular Shopping Soiree,” where one lucky winner will be awarded a designer handbag. Both special offerings will be granted to winners who are present at the reception.

Over 75 years, COG has made a significant impact by contributing more than $1.7 million to fund the needs of children’s charities in Broward County.

“Last year we raised $114,000 for nearly 20 youth-oriented, smaller non-profit organizations,” says Children’s Opportunity Group president Kelly Hart. “The impact to these smaller organizations is huge and they are grateful for the generosity of our members and guests attending our annual fundraiser to benefit the children they serve.”

Tickets for the 2024 luncheon start at $150, with several options for entire table reservations and underwriting sponsorships. To order tickets and for more information, visit here.
