American Heritage Schools and Lighthouse of Broward Hosting Benefit Concert for the Blind and Visually Impaired

The event will be a speakeasy-themed soirée featuring singer Mitch Franco.

The fourth annual Heroes event aims to raise critical funds for the blind and visually impaired in Broward County. American Heritage Schools are presenting the fundraising concert and auction in conjunction with Lighthouse of Broward, a nonprofit organization in Broward providing comprehensive educational, rehabilitation, and counseling services to blind and visually impaired children and adults. It will occur from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 4 at the American Heritage Schools’ Center for the Arts auditorium, 12200 W. Broward Blvd., Plantation. Throughout the evening, attendees can relish cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while participating in silent and live auctions that benefit the Lighthouse of Broward. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their best Roaring Twenties attire to add to the overall ambiance of the event.

The Lighthouse of Broward is committed to improving the lives of individuals who are blind and visually impaired in Broward County, enabling them to lead independent, healthy, employed and fulfilling lives. With all the funds raised, the nonprofit can provide vital services to over 2,590 people across the county annually.

The presenting sponsor for this year’s event is American Heritage Schools. Gunther Motors is the gold sponsor. Bronze sponsors include Centennial Bank, Memorial Health System, Miller Construction, Jaguar Land Rover West Broward, McCullough & Leboff and BDO. Volunteers from American Heritage Schools’ student orchestra, National Art Honors Society, Pre-Med and Pre-Engineering programs will be on-site to help make this event successful.

Tickets are $25 per person, and admission, hors d’oeuvres, and an open bar are included. To purchase tickets or make a donation, please visit  https://www.lhob.org/heroes.
