Five Rosh Hashanah meal packages from South Florida eateries

MK Takeaways (featured image above): A perfect menu for virtual gatherings, this menu includes a wide variety of choices for starters and sides such as matzoh ball soup, parsnip latkes with apple chutney, green beans with crispy leeks, cranberries and savory potato kugel. For entrees, there are three delicious choices: pomegranate braised brisket, honey balsamic roasted chicken and maple glazed salmon. Each meal comes with a round challah and apples and honey. $40 per person (excluding tax/delivery)

 

Bill Hansen Catering: Start the culinary journey with apples and Florida honey and then move on menu items such as apple guava glazed half chicken, potato truffle kugel and grilled Moroccan lambs kabobs with curry yogurt. Dessert includes flourless chocolate torte, apple and dragon fruit compete and more. $42 per person plus tax and free delivery for parties of 8 or more

 

Brighton Beach Bagel: The Delray Beach spot offers traditional dinner to-go packages. Menu choices include round challah, whole roasted herb chicken, chopped liver, sponge cake, kasha with bow ties and more. Plus, looking ahead to Yom Kippur, Brighton’s “break fast” fishes include Samaki Nova Platter or a Salad Platter featuring tuna, egg, in-house smoked whitefish or baked salmon options. Packages are $49.95 for two and $89.95 for four to six (without taxes)

 

Potions in Motion: The catering and events company delivers a menu to remember with specialties such as roasted rosemary potatoes, mixed greens salad with balsamic, gefilte fish slices, challah buns, bourbon-roasted apples and honey and roasted chicken with lemon and rosemary. $32 per person plus taxes and $10 delivery fee. Delivery available through Palm Beach and Broward with a two-person order minimum.

 

TooJay’s.While dine-in is available, with reservations, for Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 at TooJay’s locations throughout South Florida, you can also bring your favorite food home with takeout and catering orders. The menu features lean and tender brisket platter, herb-roasted half chicken, broiled salmon with dill sauce, roasted Cornish game hen and made-from-scratch matzo ball soup, carrot tzimmes and kosher wine. Looking ahead, TooJay’s special Yom Kippur break-fast features blintzes, mini potato pancakes, baked breads, sliced Nova, baked salmon and whitefish salad, bagels, cream cheese and more.
