Hoffman’s Chocolates announces holiday philanthropic initiatives

Proving that giving is sweeter than chocolate, the Greenacres-based Hoffman’s Chocolates, with stores throughout South Florida, recently announced it will launch several philanthropic initiatives to honor local health care heroes.

“At Hoffman’s Chocolates, we think it is so important to continue to celebrate our local health care heroes and support our community during the pandemic and especially now during the holiday season,” said Lois Marino, Director of Community Engagement at Hoffman’s Chocolates. “We hope our holiday initiatives will provide some extra recognition and support to our local health care workers, as well as bring a little extra sweetness to all during the holiday season.”

First up is the stunning 12-foot Christmas tree decorated with over 600 custom ornaments and decor representing Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in its Greenacres Chocolate Factory Store location (5190 Lake Worth Road, Greenacres). The tree will be adorned with a custom Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital “Catch the Love” ornament specially designed for this 2020 holiday season. Starting Nov. 27, community members can come to the factory to take photos in front of the tree.

Customers can bring the love home as the ornament will also be sold in its seven stores in Palm Beach and Broward counties for $19.95 each with a portion of the proceeds going toward the hospital. In addition, Hoffman’s Chocolates and employees from BBX Capital and its family of companies will also be creating a 14-foot replica of this Christmas tree to be displayed in the lobby of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood throughout the holiday season.

Hoffman’s Chocolates will also be holding its annual and highly popular holiday wreath contest with this year’s theme “Celebrate Our Health Care Heroes.” Four local hospitals from Palm Beach and Broward counties will each decorate a wreath for a chance to win a sizable donation for their hospital.  Hoffman’s will supply each hospital with funds to decorate their wreaths and each will be displayed in one of four Hoffman’s Chocolates retail stores for patrons to visit and then to vote for their favorite wreath online. The hospital with the most votes will be named the winner of the wreath contest and receive the donation from Hoffman’s Chocolates.  The public can vote for their favorite wreath starting Nov.27 through Dec. 30 at hoffmans.com.

And, of course, there are plenty of holiday treats available at Hoffman’s locations with gourmet chocolates, specialty gifts and gift baskets are perfect for family, friends, loved ones, teachers, stocking stuffers and corporate gifts. Each store offers curbside pick-up or delivery and orders can also ship to anywhere in the U.S. For times and information, click here.
