New Fire Station For Palmetto Bay

Palmetto Bay may be getting a new fire station as Miami-Dade Fire Rescue eyes a 1.4 acre parcel of land at 142nd street and Old Cutler Road. Seeing the location as ideal for faster coverage of northeastern Palmetto Bay and southern Pinecrest, the department is looking into zoning and site-plan approvals, which will go before the Village Council this fall.
