Residents can swing by Virginia Young Park in Fort Lauderdale for a free Shred-A-Thon event to dispose of paper documents properly. Spector Advisory Group Realtors hosts the no-cost drive-up event with ice cream from Razzleberry’s Homemade Ice Cream served. Children are welcome to attend to experience the new playground equipment at the park, 1000 SE 9th Ave. Personal or business documents will be accepted from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 4. Metal binders and cardboard will not be accepted.
“This event is about bringing the community together in a safe outdoor setting and giving families and children a chance to recycle their school, tax and work documents,” Laurie Spector says, Principal of Spector Advisory Group at COMPASS. “Disposing of your personal documents safely and securely.”
Spector added that they look forward to doing the event annually in different locations.
During the event, participants can meet the Realtors of Spector Advisory Group and discuss COMPASS’ Cash Offer Program for Buyers. Sellers can also consult its Bridge Loan, Trade-In, or COMPASS Concierge Programs, which allow owners to improve their home before listing, with no out-of-pocket costs or interest charged.
The FREE Shred-A-Thon is sponsored by Spector Advisory Group at COMPASS, a team of eight Realtors serving the tri-county area.
