Tell us about your dog and what makes them special to you.
Anna Wintour is the queen of my house! She is 6 year old Shih Tzu Bichon that is lovable and sweet. She knows when to snuggle and when to give space.
How did your dog come into your life, and how has your relationship grown over time?
This sweet little lady was a gift that ended up staying with me. I am a firm believer in things happen for a reason. I live this each day. Life is a roller coaster. There are highs and lows but when I look at her, I know that everything will be okay.
What’s your dog’s quirkiest habit or personality trait?
Anna is the queen of hiding snacks. Her favorite location is in my pillowcases, and she eats them in the middle of the night. I can understand a late-night snack so I cannot even be upset with her.
How do you juggle your work or personal life with your dog?
We spend as much time together as we can. Knowing she is at home waiting for me is my guideline of when to end the workday. Princess Anna cannot have a late dinner. When I can, I’ll bring her on errands with me. She loves socializing so if she is going out, she is happy.
What is your favorite pet charity or rescue organization and why?
Humane Society of Broward County. This organization is one that helps so many animals. I have adopted five dogs from there and it always holds a special place in my heart.
What has been the greatest blessing your dog has brought to your life?
Anna is love. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her. When we walk, she says hello to everyone. She is the greatest blessing and is an example of how to live life!
