  • The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau presents the 17th Miami Spice, showcasing Greater Miami’s diverse culinary scene. Fine dining restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe Miami Spice menus at reduced prices ($23 per person for lunch and brunch / $39 per person for dinner). Prices include an appetizer, entrée and dessert; tax, tip, libations and service charges are additional.
  • This weekend, try Pisco y Nazca in either Doral or Kendall. The three-course menu includes tostones, Causa Crocante (pictured above), Tallarin Saltado, Salomon, Chaufa Aeropuerto and a complimentary pisco sour.

Crave GFL Restaurant Month

  • When: Sept. 1-Sept. 30
  • Where: Throughout Greater Fort Lauderdale
  • What: Enjoy three-course gourmet dinner menus for either $35 or $45 throughout the month.
  • This weekend, try Naked Crab with menu items such as Octopus Ceviche, Pistachio-crusted Lam Loin with quinoa tabbouleh, mint oil and labneh, and key lime pie.

Film Art Expanse

“Mommy and Me” at The Frank: Story Time Hour

  • What: Celebrating its 60th anniversary, the museum presents the first comprehensive installation of its collection, showcasing not only a narrative of the history of art but
    also the collection’s growth.

Honoring First Responders


Law Enforcement First Responders Appreciation Day

  • When: 5 p.m.
  • Where: Bokamper’s at 3115 NE 32nd Ave., Fort Lauderdale
  • What: The third annual Bokamper’s appreciation day honors all that law enforcement members and first responders do to keep the public safe.
  • Members of law enforcement and first responders, their family and friends, and the public are invited to enjoy entertainment, Battle of the Beast Burger Challenge, raffles and more.
  • Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis and Fort Lauderdale Chief of Police Rick Maglione will be in attendance as well as police departments, fire departments, BSO Swat, Honor Guard, Coast Guard, Marine Patrol and other law enforcement officers from all over the country.
  • Plus, first responders enjoy a buy one, get one beer offer between 4-7 p.m. at all Bokamper’s locations in Fort Lauderdale, Miramar and Plantation.
