  • What: The museum debuts its Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Fantasy Laser Show.

Holiday Boat Parade

  • When: Dec. 22, 6:30 p.m.
  • Where: Intracoastal Waterway starting at the C-15 canal traveling south to Hillsboro Bridge
  • What: Watched boats decked out in holiday finery and enjoy food and drinks at this 42nd annual parade.

A Rockapella Christmas

  • When: Dec. 22, 8 p.m.
  • Where: Parker Playhouse
  • What: The popular acapella group performs their original vocal spins on holiday classics such as “Silver Bells,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Matunda Ya Kwanzaa” and others.

South Florida Chamber Ensemble

  • When: Dec. 23, 2 p.m.
  • Where: Miramar Cultural Center, 2400 Civic Center Place
  • What: The ensemble presents its annual “Spirit of Giving” program, featuring work from English writers and composers such as Charles Dickens, Gustav Holst, Maude Valerie White and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.

Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas”

  • When: Dec. 25-30
  • Where: Adrienne Arsht Center, 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami
  • What: The Broadway export bursts with merriment and holiday cheer as well as Berlin’s unforgettable tunes. The musical retells the 1954 film’s story of two entertainers who travel to Vermont to put on a show and see snow.

A Tribute to Benny Goodman and Friends

  • What: Dick Lowenthal’s Big Band pays tribute to the swinging classics of the 1940s band leader by recreating part of Goodman’s 1938 Carnegie Concert.
