“Jurassic World Live” Tour

What: The creatures of the popular film franchise come to life as audiences are taken to Isla Nublar where an Indominus rex escapes, and a team of scientists must unite to save dinosaur Jeanie. The show also features some of the popular dinosaur characters of the films, including Blue the raptor and a Tyrannosaurus rex.

Miami City Ballet: I’m Old Fashioned pictured

What: The company travels back in time to pay tribute to Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth, who—projected on a large screen—dance alongside Miami City Ballet dancers to the choreography of Jerome Robbins and the music of Morton Gould. The program also features Christopher Wheeldon’s This Bitter Earth, Balanchine’s Tchaikovsky Pas De Deux and Ratmansky’s Symphonic Dances with music by Rachmaninoff.
Festival of the Arts

Where: International Fishing Pier located, 200 NE 21st Ave., Deerfield Beach
What: The works of more than 100 artists are on view at this free day filled with food vendors, a kids’ zone and live music.

Where: Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 SW Second St., Fort Lauderdale
What: Interactive displays give visitors a chance to see how fossils are discovered. The exhibit also features animatronic dinosaurs, artifacts and replicas.
