Women Volunteers of the Year for 2023 Recognized by Junior League of Boca Raton

Margaret L. Blume is the honorary chair and Nancy Dockerty will serve as the event chair.

The nominees for the 36th Annual Woman Volunteer of the Year have been announced by The Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR). The nominations were made by various nonprofits across South Florida, who put forward one of their top volunteers for consideration for the prestigious Woman Volunteer of the Year title.

The Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon was organized to honor exceptional community women nominated by nonprofit organizations across Palm Beach County and Northern Broward County for their unwavering devotion and proficiency as volunteers. These women were recognized for their contributions to advancing the missions of the organizations they serve. The proceeds from the event were directed towards supporting the Junior League of Boca Raton.

“These remarkable nominees have made such an enormous difference in our community. We are thrilled to honor these truly deserving women who have uplifted and positively impacted so many lives,” Shea says.

Throughout the year, members of JLBR are expected to contribute more than 35,000 volunteer hours and donate over $250,000 to support the organization’s mission of training volunteers, developing the potential of women, and improving the South Florida community.
