2018 Buick Enclave

Overview: The three-row crossover is no longer a novelty in the automotive industry, but Buick’s new model (and new sub-brand) certainly feels like a revelation. It offers all of the cutting-edge technology and premium materials that one would expect from a luxury ride amid an interior setting that manages to balance high style and you’ll-feel-right-at-home comfort. One of the instantly noticeable features involves something you can’t even see: The Enclave’s air ionizer not only eliminates odors, but it also diminishes bacteria, dust and pollen in the air. But that’s hardly the only highlight.

Bells and whistles: The Enclave’s QuietTuning, with a new active noise cancellation feature, effectively muffles exterior sounds, further enhancing an already velvety smooth ride; the vehicle’s exclusive color theme (Avenir Chestnut) comes with ebony accents, creating a chic, warm interior vibe; the power dual moonroof is standard, as is an 8-inch color navigation/Buick Infotainment touchscreen and a slew of safety upgrades (like IntelliBeam headlamps, seven airbags, and alerts for forward collision, side blind zone, rear cross traffic and lane-keeping); the Surround Vision technology provides a 360-degree view around the perimeter of the Enclave; the third-row seat is easy to fold if additional space is required, and SmartSlide functionality allows convenient access to the back row; storage spaces abound, including 10-inch-deep underfloor storage.

Statistically speaking: 3.6-liter, V-6 engine; 41-inch headroom and 41.2-inch legroom up front; width of 78.8 inches, length of 204.3 inches, height of 69.9 inches, wheelbase of 120.9 inches; four-wheel disc brakes with ABS; front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive; Hydra-Matic 9T65 nine-speed automatic transmission; 20-inch, six-spoke wheels; 19.4-gallon fuel tank; 18 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on the highway.

Where to buy it: Ed Morse Sawgrass Buick GMC (14351 W. Sunrise Blvd., Sunrise), 888.469.2930; Coral Springs Buick GMC (9300 W. Atlantic Blvd., Coral Springs), 954.507.4921
