511 Bar & Lounge

Address: 511 N.E. 3rd Ave., Fort Lauderdale

The Buzz: Just opened in April, here’s the 511 on this Flagler Village neighborhood bar where specialty drinks are its forte and ever-changing food trucks are its fare. Created by co-owner Trent O’Connor – known for Maryland’s historic “The Horse You Came In On Saloon” and Fort Lauderdale’s “Whiskey Neat” – the cocktail menu is his love letter to Fort Lauderdale. Try the selection of Crush Cocktails made from the fresh juice of one whole orange or lemon, the perfect cool down for SoFla’s summer heat. May we recommend the traditional Orange Crush created with Deep Eddy’s Orange Vodka and fresh squeezed orange juice, served over crushed ice and topped with Sprite. Happy Hour is from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday through Friday.
