Fort Lauderdale is about to get a taste of one of Coconut Grove’s buzziest little bakeries.
Ophelia will open in Huizenga Park this fall, serving scratch-made pastries, specialty coffee, and grab-and-go breakfast and lunch along the New River.
Husband-and-wife chefs Ana De Sa Martins and Juan Vieira launched Ophelia from a vintage-inspired mobile café in Coconut Grove in 2025 after working in kitchens including Stubborn Seed and The Surf Club.
The pair makes nearly everything in-house, right down to the English muffin used for Ophelia’s bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and the syrups and cold foams for its coffee drinks. Other favorites include coffee-glazed cinnamon rolls and guava kouign-amann.
Ophelia. 32 E. Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale; @ophelia.miami. Opening fall 2026.
