Happea’s Mediterranean Grill is coming to Aventura this November, bringing its made-from-scratch Mediterranean cuisine to a new flagship location at 2749 NE 193rd Street.
Founded by brothers-in-law Danny Omari and Eduardo Wainberg, both Aventura residents, Happea’s debuted in Brickell in July 2022. The new restaurant represents a homecoming for the business partners, who have spent years searching for the right location in their own community.
“Brickell built Happea’s, and our guests there made this possible. Opening in the city our families call home is a dream come true,” Omari says.
The larger, technology-forward space will expand on the original restaurant’s fast-casual concept, emphasizing comfortable surroundings, hospitality, and freshly prepared food. The Aventura location will also introduce beer, wine, and a curated cocktail menu.
Happea’s specializes in Mediterranean-inspired dishes prepared with kosher meats, ingredients free of seed oils, and house-made sauces. Its signature hummus is prepared fresh to order.
Menu highlights include chicken shawarma pita pockets, chicken schnitzel, shakshuka brunch bowls, and the Grilled Chicken Power Bowl with quinoa, hummus, roasted vegetables, and grilled chicken.
Desserts, sweetened with organic date sugar, include dark chocolate cookies, tahini ice cream, and chocolate mousse.
For the founders, the Aventura flagship represents an opportunity to create the restaurant they originally envisioned, combining food, technology, and a neighborhood gathering place.
