Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds

III Points Music Art + Tech Festival

• Over three days, there will be a full lineup for cutting-edge international performances, including the best of Miami’s music scene. There will be more than 85 performers, as well as lectures, labs, tech talks and a gallery showcase.

Nefesh Mountain

• The bluegrass/Jewish soul band will appear twice at Congregation B’nai Israel. They will perform Friday with the CBI clergy in a Shabbat experience. On Saturday, they will follow a performance by the Shade Tree Pickers.

“The Good Girl”

• Primal Forces is opening its 2017-2018 season with the Southeastern premiere of this provocative dark comedy. Written by Emilie Collyer, the award-winning play offers a futuristic view of people’s intimate interaction with robots.

GreenMarket Pompano Beach opens

• The locally-produced open air market features local fruits and vegetables, baked goods, fresh seafood, gourmet teas and coffee, specialty food items, as well as home-made crafts, health-related products and live music. Open every Saturday from October through April.

Monster Splash: A Halloween Celebration

• The family-friendly event features a pumpkin patch, create-a-scarecrow-zone and dance party, plus face painting, inflatables and rides.

“Going Pink” at the Spa at Mandarin Oriental

• The Miami spa will host NaMOste, a singing bowl session, on the South Lawn. Donations are encouraged. Additionally, throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, guests can add a Perk Eye Lift or Perk Lip Lift with any facial or nail service for an additional $35, with $10 going toward Susan G. Recipes for a Change

• Executive chef Santiago Gómez of Cantina La Veinte and Tacology will gather six noteworthy chefs from Miami and Latin America to help victims of the recent storms. Each chef will highlight his or her individual backgrounds and techniques, and all proceeds of the event will benefit affected local farms.

The Taste of Promenade

• In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Promenade at Coconut Creek invites the public to dine during its weeklong initiative, the Power of Pink, to raise funds and awareness for Sylvester Comprehensive Center at Deerfield Beach, part of the University of Miami Health System. Big Bad BBQ
