“Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame”

When: Through Feb. 9

Where: HistoryMiami Museum, 101 W. Flagler St., Miami

What: Ahead of hosting the Super Bowl in 2020, Miami welcomes a traveling exhibit that has been in every Super Bowl city since 2012. It features more than 200 artifacts, documents, photographs and footage, such as the 7-pound Vince Lombardi Trophy. For local fans, the “Hometown Heroes” section spotlights the Miami Dolphins.

Friday, October 4

“Milieu”

When: Oct. 4-27

Where: Arts Garage, 94 NE Second Ave., Delray Beach

What: The exhibit features the work of Katerina Slinkina and Rick Baer. Educated in Milan’s Instituto Marangoni, former fashion designer Slinkina combines photography and painting to create abstract works that blur the line between the real and the imaginary. Baer’s photographs feature different filters to reveal the essence of an object.

Saturday, October 5

The Mersey Beatles

When: Oct. 5, 8 p.m.

Where: Mizner Park Cultural Center, 201 Plaza Real, Boca Raton

What: The tribute band, which has celebrated the Fab Four for 20 years, celebrates the 50th anniversary of “Abbey Road,” with a special appearance by John Lennon’s sister, Julia Baird.

Harvest Festival Weekend

When: Oct. 5-6, 12-13, 19-20 and 26-27

Where: Flamingo Gardens, 3750 S. Flamingo Road, Davie

What: The attraction’s annual festival spans four weekends of fall activities such as free hayrides, pumpkin patch and decorating station, live characters, bounce houses, costume contests and songs, games, crafts and more.

Sunday, October 6

Matinee Magic!

When: Oct. 6, 2 p.m.

Where: Miniaci Performing Arts Center, 3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Blvd., Davie

What: Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami presents a one-hour performance of “Peter and the Wolf” by Sergei Prokofiev, geared toward families with children. Pre- and post-performance activities include storytelling, face painting and a meet-and-greet with the ballet characters.
