Volunteers needed at Boca Helping Hands

If you’re looking for a way to give back Boca Helping Hands could use your time. The organization recently announced that it is in need of volunteers to continue to fulfill its mission to provide food, medical and financial assistance.

Volunteer jobs registering new clients for the pantry program and helping to distribute hot meals and pantry bags of food. Boca Helping Hands is also following CDC guidelines with drive-through operations and all volunteers and staff members are required to use masks and undergo daily temperature checks.

“Our volunteers have been critical to being able to continue serving people during this crisis,” says Executive Director Greg Hazle. “We have seen younger volunteers stepping up to relieve many of our older ‘at risk’ regulars. Our community has shown they want to be part of this effort, so we are hopeful we will find some new volunteers to carry the baton.”

Shifts are available Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the East Boca facility (1500 NW First Court, Boca Raton) and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m.-noon at the Boynton Beach location (First Baptist Church, 301 N. Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach).
