Virtual talent show Virtualoso raises funds for charity

Delray Beach-based Artists & Charities Hand in Hand is showcasing local talent while supporting charities with Virtualoso, a unique virtual talent show open to children and adults.

Artists & Charities founder and CEO Ingrid Robinson, who hosted professional art fairs in South Florida, came up with the Virtualoso talent show as a way to raise funds for local charities as she expands the organization into performing arts.

Talented individuals and groups can apply now through Sept. 30 with a video submission of a singing, dancing, variety show act or other talent (with an application fee of $10).

Once contestants are finalized by judges, submitted videos will be uploaded to VirtualosoTalentShow.com where the public will vote for their favorites. Votes also serve as a donation as each $1 goes directly to the contestants’ chosen charity. Contestants will also be encouraged to promote their participation to maximize the charitable donation. Winners will be determined by the number of votes they receive. First place will receive $1,000; second place, $500; and third place, $250.

“I am so excited about the opportunity to showcase the incredibly diverse talent that’s out there,” said Robinson. “Who says you can’t have a little fun, even during these challenging times? Our goal is to raise funds for as many charities as we can by featuring incredibly talented kids and grownups from our area – and, who knows, maybe we’ll discover a future star!”
