Uchi Miami to Host Hai for Her Charity Event

After a hiatus in 2021, Hai for Her, a culinary celebration held in conjunction with International Women’s Day, will return to Uchi Miami on March 7 and 8. Hai for Her gathers female talent from Hai Hospitality’s family of restaurants across the country to support a charity cause while providing opportunities for young chefs to grow, learn and thrive.

The first Hai for Her event was held in early March of 2020 to benefit Girlstart, an Austin, Texas charity. Chefs to be featured at this year’s event include Uchi and Uchib? Dallas Chef de Cuisine, Rhonda McCullar (pictured left), Uchi Restaurants Head Pastry Chef, Ariana Quant and Loro Austin Bar Manager, Katie Arnold. The group will collaborate to create a two-night ticketed event and celebration of women.

The event’s tickets, including a 10-course Omakase with pairings, are $225 per person, excluding tax and gratuity, and can be purchased via Eventbrite. Proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade, which has been creating positive change for women and girls through advocacy, investment and collective impact for three decades.

Uchi Miami is located in Miami’s bustling Wynwood arts district. It features a non-traditional take on Japanese cuisine with a menu consisting of hot and cool tastings, sushi and sashimi, makimono, yakimono, tempura, and changing omakase based on seasonal items. Guests can also enjoy a selection of crafted and innovative cocktails incorporating Japanese spirits, as well as a daily happy hour from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. featuring smaller tasting portions of many of the restaurant’s signature dishes and half off all sparkling wine and champagne.
