Museum of Discovery and Science Hosts 27th Annual Bank of America Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration

Guests had the chance to bid on a variety of high-end luxury items. 

At the 27th Annual Bank of America Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration, a vibrant tapestry of over 1,700 guests united to champion science education, innovation, and exploration programs at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale. The Grand Tasting, a cornucopia of more than 50 wines and spirited libations courtesy of exclusive beverage sponsor Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, was a highlight. The Beer Garden, a celebration of Florida’s favorite breweries and more, overflowed with a variety of craft beers on tap courtesy of Gold Coast Beverage, adding to the event’s rich and diverse offerings.

Scrumptious small plates and desserts from South Florida’s top restaurants were also a highlight of the 27th Annual Bank of America Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration hosted by the Museum of Discovery and Science. Guests got to enjoy delectable offerings from Ann Marie’s Pizza and Wine, Another Fare to Remember, Arc Culinary, Baoshi, Bill Hansen Catering, Boatyard, Bob Roth’s New River Groves, Crepemaker, Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop-Ft. Lauderdale, Fresh Kitchen, Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center, Hollywood Donuts, JC Beans Café, Jerk Machine, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, L & E Fine Cooking, La Mexicana Taco Bar, Lobster Bar Sea Grille, Morton’s The Steak House, Nikki’s Foods, Original Fat Cats, Pubbelly Sushi, Red Chair Catering, S3, Seasons 52, Tarpon River Brewing, Tasteful Thoughts and Ten Palms Restaurant at Gulfstream Park. The American Fine Wine Competition was also among the featured restaurants.

At the 27th Annual Bank of America Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration, guests could vote for their favorite beverages and bites. Fifth Generation was this year’s People’s Choice Beverage Winner, followed by Copper Canes Wines & Provisions in second place and Rock N Roll Tequila in third. Another Fare to Remember was voted the People’s Choice Culinary Winner, with S3 and Original Fat Cats tying for second place.

“Bank of America has celebrated alongside the Museum of Discovery & Science for 27 years as part of our shared mission to inspire learning,” Lori Chevy says, president, Bank of America Fort Lauderdale. “The funds raised during this event directly supports MODS’ efforts to provide STEM education to underserved communities in Broward County.”

During the event, guests had the chance to bid on a variety of high-end luxury items ranging from travel getaways and local entertainment packages to celebrity sports memorabilia and more. In addition, JM Lexus offered an exciting opportunity to raise extra funds by raffling off a 24-month pre-paid lease on a Lexus NX350 valued at an estimated $43,215 to one lucky winner. All of this took place in between the voting and the delicious food bites that were served.
