Love, Miami-Style

Skip the clichés. These spots bring the romance, the flavor, and the fun—on your terms.

Miami does Valentine’s Day the way it does everything else: with personality, a little attitude, and absolutely no patience for clichés. Whether you’re planning an intimate dinner, a sugar-fueled date night, or a flirt-forward bar crawl that lets the night decide its own ending, these spots offer four very different takes on romance—each worth leaving the house for.

Boia De

For couples who care more about what’s on the plate than what’s floating in the air, Boia De keeps Valentine’s Day refreshingly stripped of spectacle. The Michelin-recognized Little Haiti favorite is offering a four-course, family-style tasting menu that leans into the restaurant’s signature approach: bold flavors, meticulous technique, and ingredients that speak for themselves.

Priced at $125 per person, with an optional $75 wine pairing, the menu is designed for sharing and lingering, not rushing through courses between forced toasts. It’s intimate without being precious, romantic without being performative—the kind of dinner that reminds you why going out to eat together still matters. Reservations are strongly encouraged and available via Resy.

Cry Baby Creamery
For those who believe romance should always end in dessert, Cry Baby Creamery delivers the kind of Valentine’s indulgence that feels playful, nostalgic, and just indulgent enough. From February 12–15, the shop rolls out two limited-time scoops worth sharing—or guarding closely.

Raspberry Truffle blends white chocolate ice cream with house-made raspberry jam and dark chocolate shavings, while You Up? pairs milk chocolate espresso ice cream with caramel ribbons and crunchy toffee pieces. On Valentine’s Day only, there’s a Red Velvet Cheesecake Cookie that leans fully into the drama: red velvet dough, white chocolate chips, and a rich cheesecake center.

Everything is available in-shop, for pickup, or for local delivery—proof that not every great Valentine’s plan requires a reservation.

The Sylvester
Not every Valentine’s plan needs a candle. The Sylvester leans fully into chaos with DTF (Down to Flirt), a Valentine’s night that replaces awkward conversations with color-coded clarity. On Friday, February 14, from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m., guests grab a wristband at the door and let the night unfold accordingly:

Green: single, spicy, and ready to mingle
Yellow: it’s complicated
Red: taken, but fun

No pressure, no mixed signals—just strong drinks, moody lighting, and the kind of night that Midtown regulars already know can go absolutely anywhere.

Edan Bistro
Edan Bistro approaches Valentine’s Day the way it approaches everything else: thoughtfully, seasonally, and with just enough restraint to let the food shine. Chef Aitor Garate has crafted a Basque-inspired tasting menu for two, priced at $120 per couple, that feels generous without tipping into excess.

The evening begins with chilled beet and citrus soup with burrata, followed by Jamón Ibérico croquettes, creamy mushroom and truffle rice, a wood-fired ribeye for two, and the restaurant’s cult-favorite Basque cheesecake to finish. Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly recommended for those who prefer their romance served warm and unhurried.
