Plum Market Aventura Plans Back-to-School Weekend Celebration

Plum Market Aventura is turning back-to-school shopping into a family-friendly event with a three-day celebration designed to make stocking up for the new school year a little more fun.

The specialty grocery store will host its Back to School celebration from Aug. 7-9, featuring discounts, product tastings, giveaways and activities for children. The event reflects a growing trend in experiential retail, as retailers look to create in-person shopping experiences that can’t be replicated online.

Throughout the weekend, shoppers will receive $10 off purchases of $100 or more and can sample products from brands featured throughout the store. Customers who check out each day will also be entered into a raffle to win a $50 Plum Market gift card.

Families are encouraged to bring their children to participate in a Back to School Coloring Contest. Kids who enter will have a chance to win a backpack filled with Plum Market goodies. Entries will be accepted through Aug. 10, with winners announced Aug. 12.

Since opening in Aventura, Plum Market has become one of South Florida’s top specialty grocers, earning Best Grocery Store and Best Customer Service honors in the Miami Herald’s Miami-Dade Favorites awards. This year, readers of Miami New Times also named it Best Food Market and Best Wine Shop.

Founded by third-generation grocers Marc and Matt Jonna, the family-owned company is known for its selection of organic, gourmet and locally sourced products, chef-prepared foods and personalized customer service, making it a destination for shoppers seeking a more curated grocery experience.
