Opera House at Adrienne Arsht Center Spotlights New Broadway Season and Creative Beverage Program at Teatro Restaurant

There’s nothing better than to dress up and head over to the theater, where art comes alive on stage. Once there, the buzz of those who love the joy that comes with a performance will energize you and have you eager to experience the show. And the perfect place to get this feeling and to enjoy a performance is at a well-known and gorgeous venue in Downtown Miami. The Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center is a place where not only elegance and the beauty of theater connect, but it’s truly another world. Once there, you will be whisked away into an evening where upscale dining is the perfect starter to a night full of pure art.

Recently, we had the opportunity to attend the opening night of Les Misérables and had the opportunity to sit at the bar at the venue’s beautiful dining escape, Teatro.

If you are attending a show, we highly recommend making a reservation at this eye-catching restaurant, located on the second floor of the Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Once you step inside, you will be greeted by an expansive 2,500-square-foot dining room designed by Johanna Dilone, the creative director of Miami’s Gilded Group Décor, and diners involved in deep conversation and laughter before the show begins.

Teatro is enchanting, a restaurant that pairs perfectly with the architectural beauty that is the theater and the venue. Deep reds, glittering lights and plush seating create not only the feel of elegance, but it a nod to a stage’s curtain, a classic element to theatre that creates a feeling of anticipation and celebration from the beginning to the end of the show.

While we were tempted to try items created by Executive Chef Jose Danger, a chef who whips up dishes with creative European and Latin influences, we were there close to the show’s start and ready for a cocktail. We do recommend making reservations early for Teatro if you wish to have what seems like an unforgettable and immersive dining experience before a show.

Let’s talk cocktails and how beautiful the bar is at Teatro. Once we stepped inside and grabbed seats at the 12-seat bar, featuring scarlet red décor and comfortable seats, we had a chance to try the spot’s recently crafted and created cocktail called Drink with Me.

Think of Drink with Me as a welcome cocktail of sorts before the show. Created by Constellation Culinary Group, Drink with Me offers an alcohol and non-alcohol version of the cocktail to visitors, making a visit to Teatro for a hand-crafted cocktail something to not miss. And you can also enjoy the beverage after the show, as you take the time to discuss what you saw on the Arsht’s stage.

The delectable Drink with Me cocktail is a refreshing mix of gin, cream of violet, lime juice and simple syrup, garnished with fresh blackberries. The cocktail is as refreshing and as delicious as it is beautiful, and it’s the perfect beginning to a great night at the theater right after.

Teatro Restaurant Beverage

We recommend an immediate visit to Teatro and the Arsht Center’s Adrienne Ziff Ballet Opera House immediately for an unforgettable experience. A cocktail and dinner at Teatro will set the stage for an epic Broadway in Miami show.

There are many opportunities to visit during the 2024-2025 Broadway in Miami’s impressive collection of shows for theater lovers to enjoy. So, take some notes on the upcoming shows and their dates to plan your dining and artistic experience.
