Annual Brunch on Purpose Luncheon Fundraiser Returns to Pembroke Pines in October

Attendees will participate in an exercise promoting self-care and physical well-being.

The 3rd Annual Brunch on Purpose Luncheon brings together over 500 purpose-driven, like-minded individuals to support The Born on Purpose organization’s mission and raise funds for empowerment programs and essential community services. This year’s event, themed “You’re The One,” centers on navigating challenges, seizing opportunities, preparing to leave lasting legacies, and ending generational cycles. The luncheon will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines. It will highlight community leaders’ remarkable achievements and collective impact across various spheres.

The event will feature Tekoa Pouerie as the Special Guest Speaker. Tekoa is a nonprofit senior executive and community advocate with over two decades of experience. Currently serving as the Vice President at Pace Center for Girls Headquarters, she has been honored with prestigious awards such as the NBA Social Justice Game Changer Award and the Orlando Business Journal Champion of Diversity Award. Additionally, she is a well-known keynote speaker and trainer.

LaWanda Harris, the Founding Emcee, will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the luncheon. Harris is a skilled corporate event emcee, voice actor and hospitality expert with a strong focus on customer service.

The event will also feature a fashion show hosted by the No Limits Foundation, followed by acknowledgments from the Brunch on Purpose team and a closing prayer by Chaplain Bennett.

Nearly three years ago, the Born on Purpose Project honored women in public service at the “Taking Care of Ourselves as We Take Care of the Community” Inaugural Brunch. The organization continued this tradition by bringing women together for the “Stronger Together” 2nd Annual Brunch on Purpose. The Born on Purpose Project aims to create a thriving community where individuals understand their purpose.

Early Registration Tickets can be purchased until Aug. 31, 11:59 p.m. EDT for $75 plus a $1.88 service fee. Afterward, the price will increase to $90. Next Generation Tickets (Age 15 and under) will remain available until Sept. 14, 11:59 p.m. EDT for $60 plus a $1.50 service fee.
