Broward Center hosts virtual open house for classes

Along with the start of school, the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center, located on the Broward Center for the Performing Arts campus, is getting ready to offer classes in September. And next week, the public is invited to take a peek behind the virtual curtain at a free open house hosted on Zoom.

During the open house, attendees are invited to meet teaching artists, participate in or observe sample classes, ask questions and register to win a free fall class. Classes—open to preschoolers, kids, teens and adults—encourage artistic expression and in a supportive and nurturing environment and cover skills such as singing, acting, improv and dance. Most last 10 weeks, are limited in size and are tailored to skill level. Some adult classes may be held in person in accordance with Broward County’s reopening plan approval as well as CDC and local health and safety guidelines.

The open house takes place Aug. 29, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Check out the schedule here. To RSVP and receive the Zoom link, email [email protected] with your name, or child’s name, and the class they would like to attend. Those who register will be entered to win a free class registration for the fall 2020 semester. The winner will be notified on Aug. 31. To register for classes, click here.
